About the AIDS Walk & Run Boston

The AIDS Walk & Run Boston started in 1986 as "From All Walks of Life" at Boston Pride.  "From All Walks of LIfe" was the first fundraising walk for AIDS Action.  Since its inception, the AIDS Walk & Run Boston has raised over $40M for AIDS Action and continues to be an important funding source for their programs and services.

Our AIDS Walk & Run Boston Fundraising Page

Our team is dedicated to to Verny Samayoa, who died Oct. 14, 2019 at age 68 after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Verny started his career in the field of HIV/AIDS as the first outreach worker for Lynn Community Health.  During his tenure at the Health Center, he led the Health Center to become one of the Centers of Excellence in HIV/AIDS, a designation that recognized the comprehensive, high quality and innovative approach to care.  In 2016, Verny joined AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts where he served as a Community Case Worker for Essex County, working tirelessly to assist client living with HIV.  At the time of his death, Verny was managing an outreach office in Lynn for AIDS Action/Fenway Health.
